J. Betts LIFE OF JOSEPH 115 Strand

  John Betts produced educational materials and jigsaw puzzles from 1827 to about 1875. He was located at 115 Strand from 1845 to 1874. I place this puzzle about mid-century. He produced "Life of the Prophet Daniel" and "Life of the Apostle Paul" about that time, so I'm just guessing that this would have been in the same period. Betts produced principally for educators, the quality and cost of his puzzles was not equal to some of his contemporaries.

 Two pieces shown here are replacements. This puzzle has a picture insert and may have originally contained a small booklet. There are 38 pieces in this 13.375" x 10.5" puzzle.The box is 6.5" x 8.25" x 1.5"
